1954年生于成都。
1971年就讀于成都市“五·七”藝術學校。
1974年在成都市美術社工作。1977年考入四川美術學院油畫系，畢業后留校任教。
1979年創作《1968年×月×日·雪》，作品被中國最高美術機構——中國美術館典藏，并于2001、2002年在紐約和巴黎展出，被當地媒體評價為“中國時期”（文革后）美術的最具代表性作品。該作品獲“建國30周年全國美展”二等
獎。
1980年創作《1978年·夏夜》。
1982年考入中央美術學院油畫研修班，創作《華工船》、《碼頭的臺階等
一批歷史題材作品。
1984年被聘為四川美術學院副教授，承擔油畫專業教學。??
1986年受法國文化部造型藝術中心（CENTRE NATIONAL DES ARTS
PLASTIQUES）邀請，赴法國從事藝術和教學活動。在巴黎、阿維儂、蒙彼利埃藝
術學院參與教學和交流。
1987年～1990年被聘為德國奧斯納布呂克大學客座教授。期間，創作了巨幅作品《送葬和迎親的人們》（60米×2米）《阿米子和?！?、《取水》《墻外》等一批彝族題材的作品。
1987年～1994年連任兩屆“中國油畫展”評審委員。
1994年繼聘為“第二屆中國油畫展”評審委員。
1991年聘為中央美術學院油畫系副教授。
1991年～1996年創作油畫《高原圖景》、《大鳥》以及西藏題材的作品近百幅。
1997年應中國文化部之邀，為香港回歸創作歷史主題畫《炎——觀百年之
1999年選為四川大學藝術學院特聘教授，擔任碩士研究生導師?，F為四川
導師，四川大學新藝術研究中心主任。中國著名油畫
家、美術教育家。現任四川音樂學院數字藝術系系主任，電子科技大學成都學院

Born in Chengdu in 1954.
In 1971, he studied at the “Five-Seven” Art School in Chengdu.
